Evren Ozan claims Best Instrumental Recording 2007 from NAMA | |
Since first meeting Evren when he was six years old, I have had the honor of joining him and
participating in so many ways with his musical journey. We recorded his 4th full-length album, "Alluvia", last year, and we were honored for all our hard work with a mighty award, "Best Instrumental Recording" of 2007
by the Native American Music Awards. Shortly thereafter, I nearly dropped the phone when he called me from sunny California to tell me that "Alluvia" was then submitted for a Grammy consideration!
Not too bad to pull off before you even get your driver's license... In upcoming news, Evren will be joining my group, 35th Parallel, this May for a special 3-day tour, also joined by cellist Paul de Jong from "The Books". For
more info on dates and details, head to www.35th Parallel.com.

Possum Hall is moving! |
After 9 1/2 years in an old apple orchard, it's time to pack things up and head to a new space.
Construction is well under way on the new studio space, and Possum Hall is getting a major upgarde on space.
The new live room will be 23' by 30' and boast a 13' high cathedral ceiling. Closer to Boston and easily accessible
from I90, 95/128, and Route 3, we've traded in the apple trees for a stream in the front yard and llamas in the back.
We hope to be up and running by May 2008. Stay tuned...
