| Studio Tour
The studio was built with the scenery in mind: the A room of the studio
looks out onto a Japanese garden, the guest lounge on the second floor
has a deck that looks out over the garden and orchard, and the control
room has a view of the trees and river valley to the north of the building. |

There are several recording sound spaces at Possum Hall, each with its
own acoustic characteristics. The A room is the primary tracking space,
a live room with a 13' high peaked ceiling, birch walls, an oak floor
and a 12' glass sliding door that looks out into the garden.
Adjacent and open to the A room is the B room space- not a distinct walled-off room, but rather a tighter sounding space from the main room. It has a lower ceiling and fabric-covered sound board wall panels with architectural elements to help keep the sound tight and even within this area. On the other side of the control room from the A room is the iso booth, a small work space great for vocals, super-tight acoustic guitars, amps, and percussion. The guest lounge also can be used as a tracking space, with mic lines, speaker ties, and line outputs to the control room. |
